By , About.com Guide

Many tweens want to earn their own money, and are eager to begin working. But it can be hard for a preteen to find work, especially if they have to compete with teenagers for babysitting and other jobs. How do your kids make money? Do they mow lawns, babysit, pet sit, or provide some other service? Share your ideas on how kids make money when they're not yet teenagers. Share Your Suggestions

Lemonade!

You can have a lemonade stand. Even though it is a old thing to do but you can still earn money. One time I earned $15 in 1 hour.

If you play an instrument and you've had at least 4 years of experience and are good with kids you could teach.

Mothers Helper

They can be mothers helpers. A mother's helper is when there is a parent home and you watch the child while the mom is doing what she has to do.

How Kids Can Make Money

They could do stuff like have a bake sale, or a lemonade stand, baby sit, enter contests, make websites, sell bird houses and host a garage sale. They can also sell candy at school.
