The holiday season is a notoriously busy time of year for many parents. But no matter how busy the next few weeks will be, be sure you reinforce your family rules regarding good manners and etiquette.

Writing thank you notes, giving hostess gifts, and knowing how to say "thank you" when a compliment is offered are musts for your older child. Refrain from lengthy lectures. Gentle reminders may be enough to remind your tween that it's always a good time to make a great impression.
