Is your tween not so excited about this year's vacation plans? Does she want to stay home to hang out with friends? Or, does he have unrealistic expectations regarding vacations and the family budget?
Not unusual. In fact, when it comes to family vacations, the emotions of your preteen may be all over the map. Even so, you can make any trip a little more tween friendly just by including your child in the planning process. You're still in charge, of course, and have to set limits of all kinds (safety, budgetary, etc.) but by including your child in the planning process, you may reduce the pouting and eye-rolling that just seems to come with family trips.
