Enjoying family activities together is a great way to bond with your tween, and it doesn't have to be expensive, either. Even if your tween has made it clear that she prefers her friends' company over yours, don't take it personally. You can still nurture your relationship and have a good time together.

When choosing family activities, ask your tween for suggestions or ideas. Or, "kidnap" your tween for an adventure you plan, but he knows nothing about. Whatever family activities you pick, enjoy yourself and make the most of your time with your tween. He/she will be a teen soon enough.
