It's unlikely that your tween will want to dress up as a fairy princess this year. And Bob the Builder is not an option. It can be difficult finding tween Halloween costumes that your tween will actually wear. But that doesn't mean it's impossible, either. Share your great ideas for the best tween Halloween costumes here. And maybe you'll find a few additional ideas you can share with your tween, too. Ideas for Older Kids

Soda pop can!!

Last year I was a soda pop can, I was pepsi!! All I did was take a dark blue pillowcase sewed it into a dress and used red, blue, and white paint (red and blue for the logo and white to write Pepsi and 350ml on the bottom right corner). enjoy!!!

Witch

I got a long black dress and a witch's hat for the outfit and for make up just put black mascara and eye liner and made points at the end and just put on a spider necklace I got from Walmart.

Sleeping clown!!

Ok, I love dressing up for Halloween but I don't like being just a "vampire" or "witch". I like to jazz it up!! :P So here is my idea: 1. Get a clown wig $10 (put a swim cap under it) 2. Buy a nose $2 3. Buy clown makeup at Walmart $3 (look on YouTube for tutorials) 4. Wear your PJ's (mine were purple polka dot pants and rainbow shirt) if you don't want your pj's to get dirty, go to a thrift store. 5. Wear a robe (and again if you don't have one go to the thrift store) and there! Pretty cheap, warm, and a cute costume for Halloween! :)

Gothic Or Punk Rocker

My friend was a gothic girl. All you do is get some black tights (preferably fishnet), purple or black T-shirt with maybe a gothic band or some design, tight skirt or skinny jeans, flat tennis shoes, straighten your hair and maybe add a purple extension and put some dark makeup on. Punk Rocker is kinda like that except do your hair crazy and add some colorful extensions.

Native American Girl

I was a Native American girl last year, and it was super easy and I won a couple prizes. Just find a leather dress, attach some beads onto it, and then make a headpiece. Just take a headband, cover it in leather, and attach some feathers to the top.Wear a pair of moccasins and use a furry cape when it gets cold out.

Dead Nerd Girl

For Halloween, I am thinking about being a dead nerd. First you find some shorts, highwaters or capris, or a skirt, basically what ever kind of bottoms you want to wear. Next you get some suspenders, any color and design, then wear your hair in 1 or 2 ponytails. Add high socks and some flats, tennis shoes or heels. For the dead part, get some black and red makeup, one black eyelid and a red one. Then you have some black lips with red marks on them and then have fake blood on your clothes and face and scars as well.

Zombie

Get your short plaid skirt, a white uniform shirt, and rip your leggings. In the bathroom get your chemistry teacher's green powder and mix it with water to make your face make up. Draw on scars and scratches! Now with your hair you can put one side over your eyes and thy will look rather odd.

Dead School Girl

All you need is fake blood, an old white shirt, a blue vest, a black skirt and messy hair.

Girl Ninja

Here's a great idea: find a black miniskirt and get a strip of shiny, black material. Tie the material around your waist. Then, get a stick and wrap black duct tape around it. Last, wear a black shirt with an origami ninja star on it and black leggings. Enjoy!

French Fries

I went as french fries a year ago! Not hard and it looks amazing. We bought 2 of the red display boards at Staples, and taped them toghether with red tape. Then we bought styrofoam rectangles and spray painted them and while they were wet we added salt! Then we glued them to the box and wrote a big M on it for McDonalds (B for Burger King would do) then we attached a bunch of ketchup packets and then added straps and there you go!

A Doll

Get a blue poofy skirt, stripped socks, and a white tee. Slap on some creepy doll makeup (bright pink circle shaped blush, dramatic eyelashes, and smaller than normal lips) and you're set!

Dead Princess

I'm going to be a dead princess. Eyeshadow and dread locks painted green, black pumps, and black coat. For make up use white blush mascara (long lashes) and black liner with fake blood down your neck. It's super fab, hope you like my idea.

Lego

I'm 15, last year I was a lego, it was so easy. All we needed was a big box, a small box, 10 plastic cups and any color spray paint. First we glued cups on the big box and then the smallbox then we cut arm holes, a head hole, and then spray painted them and let them dry.

Cowgirl Cutie

Get some jeans, a white tank, a plaid button up shirt, some western-looking boots, a supercute cowboy hat, some natural looking makeup, and some cute jewelry, and boom! You got yourself a cute cowgirl costume!

Half and Half

You could be a half and half person. For example, if you love sports, but also are a diva, you could use a sports uniform and a dress. Cut the uniform and dress in half. Then sew the two costume halves together and you can be a half athlete/half diva!
