Guide Review - Review of Changes Kit for Girls
The kit was conceived by two RNs who just weren't happy with the resources available to them and their tween daughters. Their kit is the result of what they think tween girls need to know in order to have all their questions answered, and move forward with a positive attitude.
The Changes kit is very interactive. The resource book is palm-sized, beautifully designed and offers up just the right amount of information for girls who want to know what's happening to their bodies, but don't necessarily want to wade through a textbook or a 100-page resource manual. All the basic questions are answered here, including information about ovulation, breast development, hygiene, cycling, symptoms of menstruation, emotional issues, cramps, and feminine hygiene products.
But it's the accessories that make the kit so much fun. A monthly calendar helps girls track and predict their periods, a journal and a mood pen gives them the opportunity to record their feelings, and three sample fragrances help them feel good about being a girl and making the transition from childhood to adolescence.
There are two kits offered, the Young Miss Changes Kit and the Tomboy Kit. The only differences between the two kits are in the fragrances offered, as well as the kit designs. The same good information applies to both offerings.
