Skipping School in Middle School

Have you ever caught your child skipping school? The middle school years might be the time he or she tries to get away with playing hooky.

But you can do a lot to convince your child to show up for attendance, if you take the time to talk about school rules, your rules and consequences, and if you take the time to know what's going on in your child's life. A child who skips school could be trying to avoid a bully or a confrontation, or he could be trying to get out of taking a test he know he'll fail.
