Getting Involved in Middle School Government

Preparing your child for middle school means, among other things, pointing out all the positives about the middle school experience. Middle school offers students numerous opportunities for involvement, including sports, student government, theatre arts, clubs and more.

If your child is thinking about joining or running for student government, be supportive. A spot on the student government roster gives your tween the chance to develop leadership skills, know more about the school, its staff and students, and make a difference. Yes, it can be frustrating, but it's a great learning experience for your child.
