I'm one of the few parents I know who loves winter. Why? The winter months give me an excuse to do things that I just don't have time to do the rest of the year. I reorganize my closet, slow down long enough to watch movies with my kids, or go to the movies to see one on the big screen. I also tend to plan vacations in the winter, as well as think about my plans for our small veggie garden. It's when I regroup, and boy, do I love that.
So, here's to January, February and March. I have a lot to do before those daffodils pop up in my yard this April. A lot of movies to see, and a few projects I can't wait to begin. Of course, the real reason I enjoy winter is because I don't do any of these things alone. I do them with my kids. And that's really why I love winter.
