Do You Still Buy Teacher Gifts?

Here's a question for all you parents of middle schoolers. Do you still buy teacher gifts at the holidays? I took an informal poll of a few friends, and it seems that many parents give up on teacher gifts once their kids hit middle school.

Personally, I ask my children if they have a favorite teacher or coach that they'd like to thank at the holidays, and then we brainstorm a few inexpensive gift ideas together. We no longer buy for every teacher, just that special teacher whose had a big impact on my child.
