Riding the Bus - Tips for Middleschoolers

With the new school year just around the corner, now would be a good time to brief your child about what it might be like to ride the bus to middle school. Middle school students can be loud, obnoxious and rude, and bullying on the bus isn't uncommon.

There's also the possibility that your child might be offered cigarettes, drugs or other substances on the bus. Yup, it's not like elementary school, that's for sure.

Evenso, parents can prepare their children for the bus ride to and from school. Ask your child what he wants to know, and then answer him  honestly. And make sure you let him know that if anything happens on the bus that you should know about, your door is always open.
