Your Thoughts About McDonald's New Campaign?

Saturday November 22, 2008

Did anyone happen to see the CNN video about McDonald's new campaign to ease parents' anxiety over the nutritional value of their French fries? Apparently, the fast food franchise gathered a group of "mom ambassadors" and took them on a field trip to see how the chain's French fries are grown, picked, cooked and brought to the paper bags and plastic trays of millions of consumers, many of them children.

The point was to show that the fries aren't as nutritionally deficient as the public seems to think they are. As for me, I'm pretty certain of two things. French fries are just about the tastiest things going, but there's not much nutrition there for a child's growing body, and what is there doesn't make up for the fat and calories they're ingesting.

Your thoughts?
